Know More about Hypotension
Low blood pressure is also known as hypotension. People with a reading of around 90/60, or less, are commonly regarded as having low blood pressure. Apart from the technical interpretation, low blood pressure is a sort of disease that saps energy from all parts of your body and mind. Your spirits are down and your body starts shivering. The treatment of low blood pressure is directed toward the underlying cause; if low blood pressure is caused by dehydration, it may be treated by a physician with intravenous fluids. If it is caused by pooling blood, your physician may recommend graduated compression stockings.
Low BP May Not Always Be Serious
In many instances, low blood pressure isn’t serious. If you have consistently low readings but feel fine, your doctor is likely to monitor you during routine exams. But I find it interesting, as a possible complementary treatment option, to consider his view that low blood pressure is the product of a weak circulation. As such, gentle herbs that support circulation may be a useful adjunct to whatever other therapy is suggested. Unlike high blood pressure, low blood pressure is defined primarily by signs and symptoms of low blood flow and not by a specific blood pressure number. Some individuals may have a blood pressure of 90/50 with no symptoms of low blood pressure and therefore do not have low blood pressure.
Food and low BP
The most important cause of low blood pressure is faulty nutrition. It makes the tissues forming the walls of the blood vessels over-relaxed, and flabby or stretched. Low blood pressure is given the medical term “ Hypo tension” (as opposed to hyper tension which is high blood pressure). Low blood pressure occurs when the pressure in the blood vessels falls below normal limits. Low blood pressure is found in persons of all ages, from teen age to old age but in my clinical experience, I have found that this condition exists most among the young adults particularly in young girls. Among such persons ailments like anemia, premature graying of hair with dryness of scalp, dryness of skin in general, vertigo, headache, weakness of vision, sneezing and subnormal body temperature may be commonly found.
